BookEzy Shutters and Blinds takes very seriously its quality control responsibilities and has carefully selected suppliers and manufacturers that can demonstrate high levels of quality control and stand by their warranties.

However, should such an incidence occur where the product is not to an acceptable standard this warranty deems to cover the terms of repair or replacement of any defective material or component in any of BookEzy Shutters and Blinds products.

BookEzy warrants that all our products will be free from defects in material and workmanship from the date of the BookEzy Shutters and Blinds invoice. This warranty is valid when payment for the Awnings, Shutters and Blinds has been paid in full and proof of purchase is provided to BookEzy Shutters and Blinds.

In addition to all our manufacturers and suppliers’ warranties, we provide a;
• 3 year warranty on workmanship carried on by BookEzy’s own installers,
• 5 years minimum on all materials, venetians, awnings, roller shutters and roller blinds (or similar) and
• 20 years on all plantation shutters, including Aluminum, Poplar, Thermotech (Poly) and Basswood plantation shutters in our range.

What the Warranty Covers

This warranty covers the repair or replacement of any defective material or component in BookEzy Shutters and Blinds.
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are also entitled to have the product repaired or replaced if the product is defective.
Minor failures to comply with a consumer guarantee can normally be fixed or resolved in a reasonable amount of time.

Exclusions to the Warranty

This warranty supersedes all previous and existing materials relating to warranties published by BookEzy Shutters and Blinds. All installation, return and ancillary costs are the sole responsibility of the BookEzy Shutters and Blinds Distributor / Specialist Dealer.

The Warranty does not cover:
• The cost of access equipment or 3rd party trade e.g. Any scaffolding, lifting equipment or electrical works required to carry out any replacement or repairs.
• Products that are requested outside recommended loads or sizes published in the BookEzy Shutters and Blinds pricelist;
• Any conditions caused by normal wear and tear;
• Alterations and repairs to the product, not carried out by one of BookEzy’s nominated or authorized distributors or specialists.
• Any water damage, accidents or misuse,
• Incorrect installation if installation is not by a BookEzy Shutters and Blinds approved and qualified installer.
• Any damage caused by insects.
• Exposure to the elements such as sea air, rain, heat, sun, fire, or wind
• Any discoloration that would be reasonably expected over time.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals or any type of corrosive element such as, unprescribed cleaning products, marine or damp environments or salt air;
• Any damage resulting from exposure to high moisture and high humidity environments (resulting in mould, mildew or fungal growths) e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, and
• Condensation damage.

This warranty is not transferrable, and only the original purchaser of the product/s can make a claim under this warranty.
Any claims made against transit damage, short supply or visible defects to the products, must be reported within 48 hours of receipt of goods, and be accompanied by photographic evidence for assessment by BookEzy Shutters and Blinds.

• Roman Blinds – Including lifting mechanisms & cords
• Venetian Blinds – Limited manufacturer’s warranty.
• Roller Shutters – Lifting mechanism, tapes, bearing & ladder cords
• Awnings – Including lifting mechanism
• eZip blinds – including lifting mechanism

All Products:

• Fabric (limited manufacturer’s warranty, no warranty on rolling performance)
• Motors (limited manufacturer’s warranty. Not covered if water damaged or burnt out)
• Electronics and Controls (limited manufacturer’s warranty)
• Batteries and Battery Packs (limited manufacturer’s warranty)
• Electrical disconnection and reconnection – No Warranty
• Charge for hire of access equipment for repair (even when product is under warranty)- No Warranty
• Consequential damage or loss – No Warranty

Plantation Shutters – all materials when installed to manufacturers recommendations – 15 year warranty against defects.
Roller Shutters – Slats and materials excluding motors – 10 years against defects.

Warranty Limits for Corrosion

Corrosivity Categories as specified in the Australian Standard AS 4312 – 2008 has been used to calculate our warranty limits.

Warranty Conditions

** BookEzy Shutters and Blinds reserve the right to inspect and make final assessment on all warranty claims regarding fabric faults or installation defects or failure
Unless otherwise stated above, warranty is valid to the original purchaser only for a period of 5 years on materials and 3 years on workmanship.
Proof of purchase / original order number must be supplied for all claims
Photographic evidence is required where goods may not able to be returned in a timely manner
Upon inspection by BookEzy Shutters and Blinds, a blind, plantation shutter, roller shutter or awning determined to be defective in hardware, materials or workmanship within the prescribed warranty period above, will be repaired or replaced without charge** Please note re-order procedure as below

Reporting of Faults

Please ensure goods are inspected within 48 hours of delivery/receipt/installation occurring.
Please report all other faults to BookEzy Shutters and Blinds strictly within 48 hours of receipt, wherever possible accompanied by photo evidence.

Reworks and Return of Goods

***Please be aware – All warranty claims must be assessed and approved by BookEzy Shutters and Blinds***
In some instances, BookEzy Shutters and Blinds reserves the right that goods may be modified or rectified, instead of full replacement, which may provide a more economical option.
Upon receipt of photo evidence or inspection of goods, an assessment will be made by BookEzy Shutters and Blinds and any reworks deemed as not warranty will be advised by email to customer.
